How do I get my music (like Pandora) to keep playing after the Surface shuts the screen off while on battery?

I want to listen to music on my Surface but not have to have the screen on (to save battery life).  Is the only way to keep the music app running to keep the Surface awake?  Or if I have Pandora going in the background and I flip to another app it stops the sound.  How do I keep it going?

Greetings all,

Internet Explorer is not able to stream in Connected Standby. There are apps that can stream while the Surface is in Connected Standby (Xbox Music).

    I replied too quickly, having the music app does seem to extend the time before the music stops but it still stops unfortunately.

    I was having the same issue playing Pandora and I happened to try something that seems to work. Play Pandora using desktop ie and then open up the Xbox music app. Once open I can turn the screen off and Pandora continues to play.

    Has anyone found a solution yet to keeping IE streaming music even when RT goes into power save mode and shuts the screen off?

    I use a variety of online streaming sources and have read all these comments....don't need a suggestion on pinning an App for Pandora or an X-box option, etc.

    Just need a solution that simply allows IE launched from the desktop or otherwise to keep streaming music when in power save mode.

    Anyone know if a solution to this problem has been found yet?

    Download graffiti on surface Rt it will solve all your problems!  It even inserts song artist into the volume rocker popup with pause and next song buttons.   Totally fixes the music stop problem when switching apps and screen saver.

    Found it by chance when searching Pandora in the store app.  free
