I recently just purchased a Microsoft surface rt and I cannot connect to my Microsoft account. When I try to purchase an app from the app store it tells me I cannot connect to Microsoft services at the moment and then I get an error message code 0x800c0002. When I try to log in to an account in settings it still does not let me. I have tried looking online for a solution but have been unsuccessful. has anyone had the same problem
Can't login to Microsoft Account/Reset Surface RT and can't sign in to Microsoft account/Can't connect to Microsoft Services
I have reset my Surface RT before. Being an IT professional, I have installed Windows 7/8/10 multiple times. Just reset my Surface RT to default settings. I am trying to set it up for my daughter. She has a hotmail account already (uses it on our other computers). When I try to sign her in when setting up Windows after the hard reset I get an error that it can't connect to Microsoft Services and i should check my network settings. I created a local account thinking it must be something during setup. I tried again via the Store app and I receive the same error. I have an internet connection so.... That's not the problem. It is clearly something on Microsoft's end. Creating a new account isn't an option as she is using her current account on our home PC and needs to utilize OneDrive. Is there an image that has Surface RT Update 3?

2017-09-27T09:50:43+00:00 I have the same error message on my Windows 8.1 RT Surface when trying to connect to a Microsoft Account: "Sorry, we couldn't connect to Microsoft services right now. If this problem persists, search for 'network problems" on the Start screen."
I changed the Microsoft Account sign-in Assistant service to "automatic" (it was in manual mode) but this did nothing.
The machine is pretty useless if you can't access the Store to download a few essential apps or sync your OneDrive account.
Please fix this ASAP.

The Surface RT is nothing but an expensive paperweight without a Microsoft account.
this is a Microsoft problem. they know about it. There's just no information on
when it will be resolved.Or even IF.

2017-09-26T16:51:00+00:00 I did the factory reset procedure, and when I try to log into my Microsoft account, it says not available at the moment, and to check network connection if the problem persists; however I am connected to the internet and I can log into my account through explorer on the same device. Right now I'm using a local account, and whenever I try to sign in, the same window pops up. I have checked that the location, time and date are correct. I have tried resetting it again, still does not work.
Besides, when looking for updates, Windows update gets stuck on looking for updates, with no ending. It's being like that for days
My Surface RT used to work fine, except for some updates it didn't install
I've tried all solutions like DSIM.exe scannow.exe, resetting the surface three times now.
