my control key is broken

    Hi, is there anybody happen to this issue? My control key is broken after 10 months. I am a developer, I seldom use mouse, I often use the keyboard, like ctrl+arrow, ctrl+tab, ctrl+F4, ctrl+W, ctrl+alt+L, ctrl+shift+E, and so on. It's about more then 500 times I click the control key each day.

    China ms has changed a new keyboard for me last year, and the control key is broken again after 10 months. And the refuse change it again for me.

That's np, the real problem is even they change a new one for me, the control key will be broken again after 10 months.

    I guess the keyboard material is not good enough for me to click it more then 500 times each day.

    Surface book is really a good product, I really hope it will be perfect, I like surface book II, too.

    I am located in France. 

    I contacted Microsoft support and I should get an answer probably tomorrow on this topic. 

    I don’t think there is any Microsoft Store in Paris. Where should I go then?

    Happens to me the same.

    My STRG key (CTRL) is broken.

    My SB is still in warranty - the Issue for me is - my system got collected for repair - I wipe all my data and software.

    Returned to me after 1 week - without repair - reply from the hot line - this is not part of the warranty

    For a 2500 Euro Notebook - playing in the price league of an Apple Mac - not an acceptable service

    My SB is still in warranty, they have changed a new keyboard for me,

    and the control key is broken again after 10 months, then they refuse to change a new keyboard for me again.

    For 4500RMB in china to replace a new keyboard, I remember

    Same here in Germany - about the same amount for a repair without warranty coverage

    Yes, it is incredible. 

    There is definitely a design issue on this computer because a Ctrl key who breaks after three months is just intolerable. 

    Still, the support claim the warranty does not apply. 

    Warranty is only a selling point with no content when a real design problem occurs. 

    They should go into crash test with this hardware with a robot pressing continuously the Ctrl key. I am sure the key will break even faster than the three months on my keyboard. 

    I already posted some comment on the Surface Book Instagram page and I will go back there. 

    Let's shake this asleep geant about a problem he does not want to see!
