my control key is broken

    Hi, is there anybody happen to this issue? My control key is broken after 10 months. I am a developer, I seldom use mouse, I often use the keyboard, like ctrl+arrow, ctrl+tab, ctrl+F4, ctrl+W, ctrl+alt+L, ctrl+shift+E, and so on. It's about more then 500 times I click the control key each day.

    China ms has changed a new keyboard for me last year, and the control key is broken again after 10 months. And the refuse change it again for me.

That's np, the real problem is even they change a new one for me, the control key will be broken again after 10 months.

    I guess the keyboard material is not good enough for me to click it more then 500 times each day.

    Surface book is really a good product, I really hope it will be perfect, I like surface book II, too.

    The build quality of the Surface laptop keyboard is appalling. My space bar and caps key cracked when the machine was still in warranty. MS refused to replace the keyboard and wanted me to buy a replacement baseboard for £500.  I have been using coloured electrical tape to protect the cracked keys for over two years. My space bar is now almost unusable and MS now say they don't sell replacement keyboards anymore. I am now two months into a wait for a replacement keyboard ordered through a laptop repair shop

    The Surface Book is the fastest most reliable laptop I have owned but the design flaw with the keyboard will lose MS customers because people will correctly conclude MS value profits over customer service and the environmental cost of its fragile, non replaceable keyboards.

    I actually purchased a replacement CTRL key from an online site that specializes in replacement keyboard keys. It fit and matched perfectly. They sell all keys for the surfacebook and should have the spacebar as well. They include new clips too, so you get everything you need.

    There are several sites like this but it’s been so long that i cant remember which one i used. Search online for replacement laptop keys. Hopefully you can get replacement keys for yours and get it fixed.
