Surface Pro 7 flickers with every external monitor

There's only half dozen entries then it stops, i'm assuming this is the HDMI synchronisation process that was failing previously. 

Can you try testing this by disconnecting the dock and any external monitor

plugged directly into your SP7? Once you do that, do you still have these

errors?

Good Idea. I've just done that.

Without a dock or external monitor, when I sleep and resume the SP7 it generates 2x Error SurfaceOemPanel 512's but no 514s.

The description for Event ID 512 from source SurfaceOemPanel cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

When I then plug the Dock with it's External Monitor in, I then get 12x SurfaceOemPanel 514 errors over 3 seconds, then nothing more and everything works perfectly after that.

Something that has disappeared from the System Event Log completely is the Surface Tcon Driver TP Read fails errors. -haven't seen one since Friday when 2004 and the firmwares went on.

I was tipped off on another discussion thread that a Windows Insider Update has a bunch of Surface Pro and X firmware updates. Sure enough, there is. Am downloading it now and will see if it fixes the issue. 

Kim, out of curiosity did you get any installation errors when trying to install these Insider updates?  We keep getting this message, even after multiple reboots/attempts:  "your pc isn't supported yet on this version of windows 10"

No - no errors here. 

I'm running the Insider update again this morning on another SP7, firstly running the updates that cause it to fail, then the insider to fix it all.

After this firmware update I still get 514 error logs, but I didn't see any flickering issue since new update. 🤔
