I'm a bit surprised at the lack of a response here; we have a considerable number of people in this thread all reporting the same issue. I (and others) have stated that my dock and Surface are both up to date and yet, I still see Microsoft staff asking if
that has been done.
If one of the Microsoft employees who has chimed in here would like provide further debugging, I'm happy to try it. Otherwise, I believe we've exhausted the debugging checklist (update Surface & Dock), and this needs to be sent to a engineer to be further
investigated.
Hi,
We would like to know more info about your concern. Can you confirm the following information:
- When and where did you purchase your Surface dock?
- Have you tried to visit the store where you purchase your Surface Dock so that the store staffs can check it?
Regards.
Erwin,
I know I'm not who you directed you reply at, but I felt that a response was warranted anyway given Microsoft's current handling of this situation.
My Surface Dock was purchased on 4/26/2016 from Amazon (sold by Amazon.com, LLC, not a marketplace seller).
I have not visited a Microsoft store with this issue. I did visit an Microsoft store around 6 months ago to have them look at a different monitor-related issue. After they worked on it for over an hour, they were unable to fix it and replaced my SP3 with
an SP4 at their expense to resolve the issue. While I appreciate that they made it right for me, I have not been terribly impressed with their troubleshooting skills.
