Issue resolved after warranty return. I didn't get a new machine (I am angry about that, even though the warranty specifies it might be a refurbished unit) which I think is BS considering the cost of the machine and the short time I have had it (the machine was immaculate apart from the web cam defect (not my fault)).
Surface Studio 2 Web camera not detected.
I do not know exactly when it stopped working (I do not use it that often), but my SS2 web cam has stopped working and is not detected in device manager or anywhere else.
Strangely the Windows Hello Biometric device is functioning fine.
I have reinstalled the latest drivers and firmware MSI.
Error code given is ..
I have all the latest updates including the May 2019 major update.

2019-06-03T23:00:12+00:00 Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately Powershell just spat out a load or errors and the cam is still not working.
I am returning the unit under warranty. I have to say of all the devices in the SS2 the webcam was one of the last I would think off breaking. Also considering it's location, one of the least accessible for repair.
