Surface Pro 7 and Slim Pen Stop working

I just recently purchased the Surface Pro 7 and Slim pen. I am on the third one as I have returned them and gotten a new one due to the touch screen not working. It works fine for a little while then in the middle of editing pictures or using the slim pen the touch screen and pen both stop working. I have done all of the suggested tips (Uninstalling drivers, reinstalling them, etc) and after restarting the Surface Pro 7 they work for awhile and then I'm back to having to restart to get them to work again. I am assuming now it is something with the surface slim pen interfering with the touch screen since I have been through three Pro 7s and not all of them can be messed up. Is there a way to fix this permanently without having to constantly restart my device?

I am a professional photographer and this is seriously messing with my work flow. I can not keep restarting my device every 15 to 30 minutes to get the screen and pen working again. My next step is to return both items and switch completely away from the Surfaces. I don't want to as I have had my Surface Pro 3 for years and love it but it crashed and I had to upgrade. Can anyone tell me what to try to get this issue corrected?

This was the one i updated to as part of the windows update - maybe worth an uninstall/reinstall to see if it rolls up to the .241?

Maybe I'm just being dumb, but I can't figure out how to update the drivers individually. Opening device manager shows that the driver was indeed rolled back to the 2019 version with this newest update somehow. Updating the driver from the device manage just tells me its already up to date (which its not), attempting to manually update it using the file from the Windows Update Catelog isn't working, and reinstalling the entire update still leaves me with the 2019 version.

Have you checked the version of Intel driver for the pen again? May be worth re-installing that driver so it's reapplied? Just a guess. (version 3.0.100.241)

Sadly replacing the Surface Pen Slim will not fix the issue. Somehow the bluetooth connection from the Surface Pen Slim disables the Intel(R) Precise Touch Device driver. There was an update last week on 04/08 that fixed the issue, however todays update on 04/14 has made the problem return. At this point we will just have to hope someone from Microsoft is reading this and identifies what exactly fixed the issue during the last update.

Bad news on my end: I just installed that new update today (04/14/2021) and the problem has returned. Going to try rolling back to the previous update later tonight.
