Surface Pro 7 and Slim Pen Stop working

I just recently purchased the Surface Pro 7 and Slim pen. I am on the third one as I have returned them and gotten a new one due to the touch screen not working. It works fine for a little while then in the middle of editing pictures or using the slim pen the touch screen and pen both stop working. I have done all of the suggested tips (Uninstalling drivers, reinstalling them, etc) and after restarting the Surface Pro 7 they work for awhile and then I'm back to having to restart to get them to work again. I am assuming now it is something with the surface slim pen interfering with the touch screen since I have been through three Pro 7s and not all of them can be messed up. Is there a way to fix this permanently without having to constantly restart my device?

I am a professional photographer and this is seriously messing with my work flow. I can not keep restarting my device every 15 to 30 minutes to get the screen and pen working again. My next step is to return both items and switch completely away from the Surfaces. I don't want to as I have had my Surface Pro 3 for years and love it but it crashed and I had to upgrade. Can anyone tell me what to try to get this issue corrected?

    I was at the stage of looking for a 'normal' pen to use rather than slim - but you really shouldn't have to. Dare i say it's not fit for purpose.

    Yes, I'm using a slim pen (today and often in the past I used the "normal" pen - and it always worked without problems), but of course I want to use the slim pen without needing to reboot it like the others. They don't know, when there will be an update - perhaps with the next windows update (but I think the employee just guessed).

    Oh What?! what a pain. Did they not have any insight into when they would release it for the Pro7? Surely this isn't acceptable? Are you using a slim pen too?

    Of course I've downloaded it before - so surface firmware is up to date (surface diagnostic tool also "says" that firmware is up to date).

    Hi,

    I've contacted the support from microsoft (telephone), but they also couldn't update Intel Precise touch to 3.0.100.241 (they additionally tried "Install from disk", then Intel ... appeared but after starting it, bluescreens appeared...).

    My wife uses Surface Pro 7**+** and there is Intel ... 3.0.100.241 (and of course it works together with her slim pen ...).
