Subsequent Microsoft update seem to have resolved.
Surface pro 7 login says "Couldn't turn on the camera, please sign in with your pin"

Hi,
After the recent update on my Surface pro 7 Windows Hello Face not working and its saying "Couldn't turn on the camera, please sign in with your pin"

I don't think Microsoft Update has completely resolved all the problems.
I've Surface Pro 7.
And I'm up to date on all Windows Updates, including all optional updates. (Today is Aug 24, 2021).
The "camera cannot turn on" problem still seem intermittently appear. No solution, except workaround it by rebooting the machine.

2021-08-26T07:21:25+00:00 The problem started within the last week for me and the device is fully updated. It could have been earlier, but I haven't used Windows Hello a lot lately. This is August 2021 and seems like this is an old issue

2021-08-26T16:19:10+00:00 My problem was very recent as well. See previous post. This seems to have resolved it for me on a Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 fully updated.
Via device manager, system devices, I updated each the drivers for each of: Microsoft camera, front camera, and back camera. Each time it said that I had the current driver. Then I did a shutdown (not a restart) followed in 30 seconds by a start. This time the Windows Hello function with the camera face recognition worked. Problem resolved.
