Surface pro 7 login says "Couldn't turn on the camera, please sign in with your pin"

Hi,

After the recent update on my Surface pro 7 Windows Hello Face not working and its saying "Couldn't turn on the camera, please sign in with your pin"

    I had the same issue but it turns out my AV software was blocking the camera, simple fix.

    I also upgraded to Windows 11, about 1 month ago.

    And so far I have not yet have an episode of this issue since.

    It is a good sign, although I would hesitate to immediately claim that this problem is solved.

    I'll report back if I encounter this issue again.

    I have just switched over to W11 and it 'seems' that the camera is more responsive inasmuch less delay in activating and often, particularly after being switched off all night, the Bluetooth arcmouse is up and ready right from the getgo.
