Surface Book 3 Randomly Freezing

As im working on my new $3500 Surface Book 3 i can't help but be extremely annoyed because the screen/mouse just randomly freeze, usually for about 5-10 seconds then its back to normal.  Sometimes it will freeze and i have to hit the power button and that seems to unfreeze it.  Very annoying, not to mention the screen dimming and getting bright on its own even though the option for it to do that is turned off.

    What are your temps like under load?

    I abandoned SB3 as a return owing to a catalogue of issues with GPU, Temps (both idle and load), overheating, throttling.

    Find it hard to believe some people game on these things and run two external monitors, I literally use it for office, video, music, photography and the only game is Football Manager or Motorsport Manager - neither of which is Gears or something 3D heavy that you see on all the reviews and benchmarks.

    I didn't have a temp issue, but I only use it for office work.  No gaming.  But with Covid, one of the main uses is video conferencing for hours a day where freezing is a pain.  But I didn't experience any heat issues.

    Few days ago my SD card fried.  Lost all my data, grrrrrr.  I left my computer alone for a few min while working on chores and when I came back and heard the connect/disconnect sound about 10 times in 30 seconds and when I removed the SD card it was ruined.  I was playing Satisfactory which is a 3D game.  I had played the game many many times without issues, but we were having a heat wave in my home town.  It runs warm normally but this time is was very warm.  Not sure if something else caused the computer to overheat.  If I keep a small hand held fan on the laptop, it's quite cool when I'm playing a demanding game.  When my card fried I wasn't using the fan. It's in the late 90'ies in Southern California.

    I'm having the exact same issue. For me this happens only when I'm using the surface pen.

    Brand new Surface Book 3 i7.
