Surface Laptop # Bluetooth drops out intermittently

I have a Surface Laptop 3 and im using the Microsoft ARC Mouse and Microsoft Designer Keyboard

The Bluetooth connection to both these devices drops out intermittenly for around 10 seconds

When it reconnects the Bluetooth icon appears in the icon tray 

This happens a few times an hour and is very frustrating.

I have tried reinstalling all the bluetooth drivers which has not helped.

I have also tried this solution offered to another user whoch hasnt helped either.

                 While the mouse and keyboard is connected/paired, open Device Manager

Expand Human Interface Devices

Double-click on Bluetooth Low Energy GATT compliant HID device, select Power Management tab above. Uncheck the box for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" then click OK. If you have multiple Bluetooth Low Energy GATT driver, please do this on all of them.

Restart Surface

Are their any other solutions?

    I am having the same issue on a Surface Pro 7 using the Microsoft Precision Mouse and the Surface Dial.  Both drop out and the only solution is to restart.

    I may have found a solution to my issue and it wasn't due to an update.  I have found that my old SP4, which is in another room of the house, appears to have been causing the sporadic dropout issues.  I wasn't using the SP4 and only using my SP7 until we moved recently.  I set up the SP4 in another bedroom in the house and it must have been close enough that, every now and then, to grab ahold of the Surface Precision Mouse and the Surface Dial.    Since removing both from the SP4, I have not had either drop out since.

    Sorry I didnt give you enough information. From what i have read it was a windows 10 update this summer and i believe the main number of the update was 2004.

    Good Morning, 

    The issue is not a Surface issue but a Windows 10 release 2004 update issue with power management. Do some research on that and you will see the fix.

    Having the exact same issue over here with slp3. My headphones just stopped randomly a few months ago and ever since my bluetooth was broken. 

    Lets just all sell our the Surface products and buy Macbooks. They seem do their stuff much better at apple.
