Hello! I have Surface Pro 7 i3 4/128 Gb. Camera works several times for Windows Hello and then stops, camera light always on until reboot. I have all updates. I tried: uninstall camera in Device Manager; check and uncheck camera in UEFI; fresh start and reset; reinstall Windows with MediaCreationTool1909. The last method helped me for a week, camera light stopped turns on for Windows Hello (only IR camera turned on) and camera worked. Now camera turns on again and stops after 2-10 times. How to fix it?

I tried changing to the older driver, but still had the issue. My hello face is still disabled, as that's the only workaround that is working. Wasn't aware there was an update with potential fix. I'll re-enable hello face, and report back.

It is happening with less frequency but still happening nonetheless. For example, I've been fine for the majority of the week and just know I started up my computer after my battery died while charging. Lo and behold same old error message "Something went wrong, please sign in with your pin" JANETTE OR ANYONE @ MICROSOFT: Are you going to offer your customers at least some sort of statement about this nuisance?

Interesting. So, everyone with this problem: Do we all have i3s? Now considering upgrading to i5 just to avoid this issue!! Just upgraded to i5, doesn't have this issue

Same problem, and I have an i7, so this has nothing to do with the CPU. I have the latest drivers installed. This can happen at any time, which means the camera is completely unreliable, and this light is very annoying too.
