I tried changing to the older driver, but still had the issue.
My hello face is still disabled, as that's the only workaround that is working.
Wasn't aware there was an update with potential fix. I'll re-enable hello face, and report back.

Hello! I have Surface Pro 7 i3 4/128 Gb. Camera works several times for Windows Hello and then stops, camera light always on until reboot. I have all updates.
I tried:
The last method helped me for a week, camera light stopped turns on for Windows Hello (only IR camera turned on) and camera worked. Now camera turns on again and stops after 2-10 times. How to fix it?

Is everyone still having the issue?.
It seems like there might have been an update that improved the situation. It's been probably over a week since my camera has acted up. Was there a fix pushed?
Trying the below now. I'll let you know how it goes. So far 1 for 1 Hello Face or whatever its called worked.
Edit: didn't take long, Camera App wont even produce an image. backing out driver now.
Just came across this and so far it seems to work for me. I've tried so many things from so many different forums. Not sure if this was mentioned here.
- Open "Device Manager"
- Under “System devices”, there are 3 entries for “Intel Control Logic”. Right-click the first (topmost) “Intel Control Logic” in the list, then select “Update driver”
- Click “Browse my computer for driver software”
- Click “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer”
- Select the 12/16/2019 version of the driver (42.18362.3.196)
- Click “Next”
- Click “Close”
- Click “Yes” to restart the computer

It is absolutely ridiculous that you are on your 3rd Surface Pro because of this problem. I'm thinking of posting the same complaint to the dozens of forums opened on this topic. Maybe Microsoft will notice the spamming across multiple threads from multiple people and actually address their customers' needs.
