Hello! I have Surface Pro 7 i3 4/128 Gb. Camera works several times for Windows Hello and then stops, camera light always on until reboot. I have all updates.

The last method helped me for a week, camera light stopped turns on for Windows Hello (only IR camera turned on) and camera worked. Now camera turns on again and stops after 2-10 times. How to fix it?

Go to camera settings - set another camera resolution - then back to former resolution
Surface Pro 7 resolution from 6 Mpx to 8 Mpx. Any way to select a lower one ?
Absolutely agree. Everyone in our office uses Surface Pro 7s. We have had an IT guy come in TWICE over the past year to try to solve this problem, to the tune of hundreds of dollars in invoiced time. A simple Google search shows that a myriad of people are experiencing this issue. Escalate this support ticket and fix the bug Microsoft. Stop wasting people's time by telling them to hard reset or update drivers when even experienced IT companies cannot solve this.
We are a company and heavy use the camera.
All my brand new Surface pro 7 have the same issue with rear camera

The camera(s) on the Surface Pro 7 have been riddled with bugs for years. Any google search will show dozens of customers with this same problem, along with the "The camera is in use by another app, please close" error when literally no other apps are open. Or having to enter my Pin because Windows Hello would not function.
Now I too have the issue with my white light staying on. Sometimes the red light stays on too.
All the work-arounds that Microsoft suggests on their forums and by users on reddit, etc. point to a recurring issue for the last 2 or 3 years or so, possibly after the release of a certain driver update. How do I even know which driver version to roll back to from before these bugs were introduced??? Microsoft's solutions seem to just put a band-aid on the issue that provides a temporary fix, but these problems ALWAYS return for me in less than one week.
MICROSOFT: Fix your faulty bugs/camera/drivers already. It's been years your customers have been complaining about these problems and the work-arounds are not only time consuming but simply don't last! It's just ridiculous already that for years your users have made these bugs known with no REAL solution in sight. This is a brand new computer and I'm so frustrated I'm just about to return it and go back to Apple where I never had to deal with these issues.
