Setting to Prevent Bluetooth Mouse from Powering Up Surface Pro 3 (Windows 10)

I recently purchased  a Bluetooth mouse to use with my surface.

Typically, I sleep the surface, then pick up the mouse to pack it away and the surface turns back on because of the mouse movement.

I can't find the setting that allows/prevents the mouse from waking the computer. Any advice?

    This isn't really a solution, but merely a work around.

    One would use their mouse (BT) to navigate to the start menu and set the PC to go to sleep.  So, turning off the BT before doing that would be quite inconvenient. 

    Once the machine is off, the next step would be to turn off the BT mouse, but again, the movement of the mouse from picking it up to turn it off, will resume the PC.  Turning off the BT mouse before putting the computer to sleep results in the same inconvenience as above, of not being able to use the mouse to navigate to the start menu, etc.

    There needs to be a better solution, a Power Management toggle that allows a user to enable or disable whether a BT mouse will wake the computer from sleep.  This is no different than what is expected of a USB mouse.

    Please provide a better solution!!!

    The workaround I have found is to turn off the mouse first and then use the physical power switch on the Surface to sleep it.

    You can try turning off the device or turning off the Bluetooth,

    Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth>Toggle Off under Bluetooth.
