Does anyone know how to change which program opens when you click the top of the pen in surface 4?

Hi,

Which Surface device do you have? Which Windows?

The Surface Pro 4 comes with Windows 10. If the customer is able to use the Surface App to open OneNote desktop with a single click, it is a NEW Surface Pro 4 pen.

Double click customization doesn't include which version of OneNote to send the screenshot to, unfortunately. The available options are:

Double-click: Screenshot (default), Disabled, Launch a store app, Launch a desktop app

Even though I have changed the button of one click to open the desktop version of OneNote, double clicks still opens screenshots with the app.

Then the only way is to either configure double click to open snippingtool, or using autohotkey: Reddit: Customized SP4 Pen Top Button AutoHotkey Script

Okay, I've got it working now. Windows update wasn't showing that there were any more updates to install until today for some reason. When I updated Windows today, the other settings suddenly showed up in the app.

They fixed the issue with the new firmware update everybody. Just go into the Surface app and you can change the pen settings easily. Kudos Microsoft

    I have an issue which is driving me mad!

    Basically, whenever I take a clipping (double-click top of stylus) the wrong OneNote opens up.

    I have two versions installed; and it is the 2016 version which I want to open as 'default' but the pre-installed version always opens up (even if the program isn't open) and places the clipping on a new page... I then have to cut/copy again, which is a ridiculous step?!

    So, the question is, how to I make the OneNote 016 the default option and either:

    1. Get rid of the other OneNote 'pre-installed' program
    2. Or simply just have the 2016 version open up?

    NOTE: A friend of mine has exactly the same Pro4 as me and exactly the same circumstance as above, but his 'double-click' opens up as it should - in the 2016 version.

    I am almost sending the entire Surface Pro4 back on the annoyance of this issue...

    Any help greatly appreciated.
