We all saw the unveil of the new Surface devices coming soon, right? I feel like the Surface Duo is tailor made for the on the go business professional who really can get everything done from their Surface Duo with its capabilities. The one thing that I'm sure it's missing is Dual SIM capabilities. What do you think? I have multiple phone numbers and carry two phones, both an iPhone Xs Max and Galaxy Note 8. I'd love to downsize that into 1 and have two SIM's in the Surface Duo.

Surface Duo has a physical Nano SIM. AT&T locked SKU will have eSIM disabled while the Open market SKU will support Dual SIM single available (physical SIM and eSIM) – so only one SIM for calls, texts, data can be active at one time.

the problem is I dont like the camera bump on the surface duo 2. i am happy with the shape of duo 1. I just want both sims dual standby. just for receiving messages and calls. what is the use of dual sim if 1 sim is sleeping.
I totally agree , I have been frustrated with this for more than a year
We have two Duo 2's and the camera bump is not an issue for us at all. The aesthetics are similar to other phones with camera bumps, and the phone actually handles better with the slight increase in depth when in phone mode. And the new cameras are great, plus all the other improvements that came with the use of the Snapdragon 888 processor and an larger battery. In fact, the bumper is different for the Duo 2 and the depths for the two models are about the same.
But to each their own...

sorry, no, the hardware is different... the surface duo 1 can never be dual sim dual standby
