Bluetooth Mouse lag

Recently bought the Surface Pro 128GB.

Having been annoyed by the temperament of the touchpad, I bought a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse.

What I've found is that, when copying data over a network, the bluetooth mouse begins to lag.

Using the touchpad/pen is unaffected.

Makes me wonder whether the Wireless NIC and Bluetooth Module are using the same bus and/or whether this is a known issue.

I get the same issue even if I disable the WiFi adapter. Here's a video demonstrating the lag. http://j.mp/1721jjJ

I'm actually on a Thinkpad 2 Tablet.  It has the same problem though.  Through further testing my solution still has problems :(

it works fantastic for a while then randomly completely lags out.

Unfortunately there is no such entry in the advanced tab of the "Marvell AVASTAR 350N Wireless Network Controller.

Which driver version do you have? Here: 14.69.17064.93

I think I found the solution!

Right click your Wifi bars in the tray and open Network and Sharing Center --> Click the blue text that has your network name to get to "WiFi Status" --> Click Properties(Bottom Left) --> Configure --> Advanced Tab.  Scroll down the list and go to "Bluetooth Collaboration".  Change the setting to "Disable".

Then turn Bluetooth Off/on in PC settings.

I am using a Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse and Wedge Mobile Keyboard over Bluetooth.  The mouse had a quarter second lag that was very irritating, but now it feels perfectly smooth.

    Hope this helps.

Same problem here on Windows 8.0 (up-to-date) with Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 or Lenovo Bluetooth Laser Mouse. Surface Pro is connected with 2.4 GHz. Tried different WIFI channels, but no improvement. Sometimes there is no lag like today, but the other day the lag is horrible.

I have to use some Bluetooth medical sensors for work. It does not operate correct when the lag is there. Very annoying! So the Surface is more a toy than a pro tool for me. Too bad...

The only (not satisfying) solution is to use a Bluetooth USB dongle. There is no lag. To make this work properly you have to disable/uninstall the build in Bluetooth radio in device manager.
