Bluetooth Mouse lag

Recently bought the Surface Pro 128GB.

Having been annoyed by the temperament of the touchpad, I bought a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse.

What I've found is that, when copying data over a network, the bluetooth mouse begins to lag.

Using the touchpad/pen is unaffected.

Makes me wonder whether the Wireless NIC and Bluetooth Module are using the same bus and/or whether this is a known issue.

    I cannot give you and answer but on those occasions I have looked into it is definitely some conflict between my MS wireless mouse and the NAS transmissions to and from my remote devices. How exactly that translates into a technical and identifiable problem I do not know BUT... 

    ....about two months ago I updated all of my Lenovo drivers. At the same time there was a fairly big MS update (it was around mid February) To my surprise and when I next started some long transmissions to/from my NAS drives... the problem had disappeared and I have not seen it since!!

    I KNOW this is probably little help to you but whatever PC you use maybe you should also run a complete driver updated (especially the bluetooth and network drivers and you may hae the same luck as me!

    Frankly I have no idea which update (Lenovo or MS) did the trick but something definitely changed. If you plough the internet there is a LOT about this problem although much of it is quite old and ALL of it is hitech!

    One final thing... I was communicating with my NAS drives via a pair of 'powerline' adapters. One was connected to the router upstairs and the other to a power outlet in my office downstairs. I switched to a new/better/hi-speed pair at around the same time... so that might have been the sudden improvement. :=((

    So 10 years later and no fix?   Really?  My wifi does not have bluetooth acceleration, so that is not the answer...  Why can a company not fix this issue? Why is there no class action suite against them for selling faulty products?

    I am so glad I found this thread, been having terrible issues with my new Arc Mouse on a relatively new I7 Surface book with 16GB ram...made no sense.

    Anyway, I finally got time and have been searching for answers for days before I crossed this thread.  With this thread, I realized I switched down to a 2.4GHz network some time ago to resolve an issue with my harmony remote.  I switched back to the 5GHz network and the mouse came to life and is working properly so far, thank you very much!!!!

    Thanks Bruno.

    I have already tried the supposed 'generic Bluetooth driver' but it seems to make no difference with the MS Mouse!!

    I will keep trying variations I may get lucky. As I said there was a quite techie comment that it was to do with shared Bluetooth addresses and interrupts. If I find anything that works for me I will let you all know.

    But thanks anyway and I hope Bruno's comment helps some of you?

    mine is working fine after installing generic Microsoft driver on Bluetooth card and synaptics touchmouse. Same solution to another issue with lan driver.
