Hello,

is the Surface 8 Pro compatible with PCIe 4 drives or can I only use PCIe 3 ssd?

If not all drives are compatible, which drives work?

Best regards,

Peter

I'm an unpaid volunteer and do not work for Microsoft. If you want background on what a Microsoft MVP is, see https://mvp.microsoft.com/en-us/Overview and for Volunteer Moderators see https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/page/faq#faqWhosWho1 - I don't have any other information, sorry.

    Hi,

thank you, but this information won't help fully.

But I assume, that not all drives are compatible with the surfaces - it would be really helpful, if Microsoft provides some informations about the compatibility.

I have read, that PCIe 4 ssd won't work at all?

Why would that be, since the drives themselfes should be compatible to PCIe 3.
