Hello,

is the Surface 8 Pro compatible with PCIe 4 drives or can I only use PCIe 3 ssd?

If not all drives are compatible, which drives work?

    Does NOTwork well in Surface Pro 8/9 due to these Surface's incompatibility with Gen4 SSDs

    All the rest X etc yes even the older model work good

    Friends, since we all have the same problem which we cannot solve on our own and Microsoft has no nearest plans to fix it, I propose to all of us write massively to the support service with the demand to fix the problem. Only by working together can we achieve success! Suport link here

    Not being able to use 2tb of storage feels like a pain. I still want to replace to 2tb storage for my sp8 so that I don't have to worry about storage anymore, but SN740 looks like the only choice for this, which causes so many problems.

    Hope Microsoft will solve this problem as soon as possible, I still have 80G free disk space now, I hope this problem will be solved when I run out of disk space, otherwise I can only buy 1t BC711. After all, stability is at the highest point comparing with the storage.
