Screen flickering with w/new Surface Book when Hyper V enabled. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just got my unit, i7 512GB. Applied all the updates (including the recent firmware). My screen keeps flickering on/off, whether or not the screen is docked. I've tried resetting but the issue still persists. It also seems independent of running apps or focused windows. Adjusting the brightness doesn't resolve the issue.

Here's a video: http://1drv.ms/1H4K0Ac

Is this happening to anyone else?

Well it looks like todays (11/02/2015) Surface Book Firmware Update fixed the screen flickering with Hyper-V enabled issue at least for me for the last 30 minutes. I installed the update and used the following command to reinstall the Hyper-V feature:

In an elevated Command Prompt type:

dism.exe /Online /Enable-Feature:Microsoft-Hyper-V /All

Rebooted computer and there is no screen flickering so far. Opened Visual Studio 2015 and ran Visual Studio Android emulator manager, then brought up one of the emulators. Everything seemed to work as it should or at least the emulator came up and ran android with no issues.

Thanks Microsoft for being so responsive...

Ok I disabled hyper-v with command line and it seems that the flicker is now gone.  Working fine for the past 15 minutes. Here is the command

dism.exe /Online /Disable-Feature:Microsoft-Hyper-V

MODERATOR EDIT (11/3/2015): Marking this work-around as answer with the acknowledgement that it doesn't solve for all of you.  There is a new HD Graphics 520 driver update in the "System Firmware Update - 11/2/2015" for you to install.

Note the presented issue was screen flickering on the Surface Book.  For those of you experiencing challenges when connecting to external monitors via the miniDP port or via the Surface Dock please share your feedback in posts specific to your scenario.  For example here or here may better describe your concerns with the Surface Dock.

As we learn more we will share in the appropriate threads.

Thanks <Josh

I was given a driver to test that fixed the issue; hopefully it will make its way to Windows Update soon.

Installing VS enables Hyper-V, which causes flickering. Known issue. Disable Hyper-V for now until the driver is fixed:

dism.exe /Online /Disable-Feature:Microsoft-Hyper-V

I only use my Surface Book i7/16GB/512GB for my work and I've completely eliminated my old desktop.  My year old Surface Pro 3 is now my backup computer.  I've traded for a living for the past 15 years and I use Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation.  I use Microsoft Office 365 Subscription and I'm an avid amateur photographer using Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop CC Subscription.  I was a Microsoft Windows Programmer until 15 years ago and I still like to do some programming using Microsoft Visual Studio 2015.  I use Chrome for the Internet but of course I also have IE and Edge.  I've never experienced any flicker on the OS or on any programs on my Surface Book.

The only other thing I might ask about is the Lot # found in the middle of the sticker on the back of your shipping box.   Mine is Lot # 1546 and I got mine at the Microsoft Store on November 30th.  The earliest Lot # I've seen here on the forum is Lot # 1541.   I don't know what the differences might be in Lot numbers but one might guess that later Lot Numbers might have hardware changes.

It is extremely interesting that you are experiencing flicker on two different Surface Books.  I buy all my computers from my Atlanta Microsoft Store and if I had your problem I would take them in to the Microsoft Store and show the problem to the Techs there.  I have a lot of confidence in the Techs at my Atlanta Microsoft Store.

That's about everything that I can think of to tell you.  I wish you the best in getting your problem resolved.
