Docking station 4 - external screen does not wake up after falling in sleep mode

I am connecting my Surface Pro 3 on the new docking station (for Surface Pro 3 and 4). And all this is connected to a DELL external monitor.

After some time the Surface Pro 3 falls into sleep mode and if I wait not too long I can wake it up using my Bluetooth mouse; which activates the docking station and the external screen.

But if I wait for too long my mouse cannot wake up my external screen (mouse wakes up Surface Pro 3 for sure and docking is always up) and I need to disconnect my docking station from Surface and reconnect it; then my display is activated again.

Any ideas?

This reply by @Guia Ram should not be marked as an answer. In fact it should be marked as a FAIL.

The consistent story from Microsoft on the problems with the Surface Dock is that the user isn't doing their job (updates) or the connected devices are incompatible (compatibility checker). Think about it, that link from Guia is all about "it's not us, it's somebody else's fault". If you read through this thread you can see that in point of fact the core issue appears to be the firmware Microsoft has used to manage the dock and how that firmware integrates into the Surface firmware as a connected device.

The Surface Dock is still light years ahead of the Dell Dock and the problems it has, but we aren't comparing to see which one is less crappy, we are spending lots of money and expecting the software engineering to have been thoroughly designed and tested on the product we have.

Please Microsoft, at least pretend to be working on the matter by pushing Dock updates every couple of months so we believe you are listening. This is the age of DevOps and Agile Scrum, we should not have to wait 6 months or a year for your shop to address this problem.

    Hi,

To help resolve the issue with the Surface Dock, please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined on this link. We also suggest manually updating the Surface Dock by using the Microsoft Surface Dock Updater.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.

    I have a dozen Surfaces at my office, Surface 2 / 3 / 4 Pro.

ALL OF THEM HAVE ISSUES WITH DOCKING STATIONS AND DISPLAYPORT MONITORS.

    ALL HAVE EVERY UPDATE AVAILABLE.

Seriously this is a real freaking problem and MS hasn't done a thing for anyone on it.

    Agree 100%.

This one little item takes the whole point of this and throws it out the window.  SP4 with dock

Do we have any progress on this Docking issue? Has Microsoft submitted a fix specifically for the station??? It has been a while and the pb is still there.
