Hi Luca_Law,
Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We're sorry for the trouble this has caused you.
I understand that you're having problem playing a sound through your wired headphones connecting to your Surface studio device. I am here to help and let us work on this together.
Let me ask few questions to help us further isolate the issue.
- May I know what build version of Windows are you on?
- What is the make and model of the headphone you have?
You may try the following steps below.
Force the device to shut down and restart.
Press and hold down the power button until your Surface shuts down and restarts and you see the Windows logo screen (about 20 seconds), then release the power button.
Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit
See: Fix common Surface problems using the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit (microsoft.com)
Run Audio troubleshooter.
- Go to Search in the taskbar, type audio troubleshooter, and select Find and fix problems with playing sound from the results to launch the troubleshooter.
- Select Next, and then select the device you want to troubleshoot and then continue through the troubleshooter.
You can also launch the troubleshooter from audio Settings:
Select Start > Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot common sound problemsand select Output devicesor Input devices.
In some cases, when an audio device like a headset or speaker is connected to the 3.5mm jack, the audio device may not be detected right away. Disconnect the Surface Connect cable, then reconnect it to re-detect audio devices.
See below article for more troubleshooting guide. The ones you've already completed can be skipped.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Lavenia
