Unfortunately I think it is the surface pro 7
Surface Pro 7 randomly freezes while using the Zoom app
Brand new surface pro for about 2 weeks and I've experienced some random freezes while using the Zoom teaching app. For some reason, each time this happens the audio continues to work but nothing on the surface screen or keyboard is responsive and I'm forced to shutdown and restart each time. Support recommended that I run a recovery tool but that didn't do anything to fix my problem. Does this sound like more of a Zoom problem or a surface problem?
Anyone else have a similar issue and fixed it?

2021-03-08T15:24:43+00:00 Thanks for this info. It helps to know the source of the problem. It’s terrible microsoft won’t fix it or address it. Very disappointing, to say the least. We’ve all spent a lot of money for their product. A good company like Microsoft should be reading these notes and do something!!!!!

2021-03-17T16:44:56+00:00 I'm a year late to the party, but this issue continues.
I have no solution, BUT I've determined that Zoom is not the cause. It turns out (for me, at least) that it's the combination of taking touchscreen notes (I use OneNote) while on a video conference. I've experienced this same issue with a variety of conferencing platforms.
I also have a Surface Pro 2017 that has no issues at all with this usage, but my 2-week-old Surface Pro 7+ cannot deal with touchscreen interaction and video conferencing at the same time.

for me it was ethernet plus VC. It's totally fine on wi-fi.
something it just doesn't like.
Fortunately I am good with wifi.
