Surface Pro 7 randomly freezes while using the Zoom app

Brand new surface pro for about 2 weeks and I've experienced some random freezes while using the Zoom teaching app. For some reason, each time this happens the audio continues to work but nothing on the surface screen or keyboard is responsive and I'm forced to shutdown and restart each time. Support recommended that I run a recovery tool but that didn't do anything to fix my problem. Does this sound like more of a Zoom problem or a surface problem?
Anyone else have a similar issue and fixed it?

Go to the Video settings in Zoom and select the Advanced button.
The drop down box "Video Rendering Method" needs to be changed from Auto to Direct3D11 and then restarting the computer.
Zoom will say you just have to start Zoom but I have noticed Zoom.exe still running in the background so I recommend a restart of the computer.
Apart from making sure it's not plugged in while using Zoom, making this change seriously cut down on system resources and it has not had any issue since. Thank for that!

2020-08-15T14:09:15+00:00 This has been happening consistently for me. I have checked performance indicators and see that the GPU is maxing out at 99-100%, even though there is plenty of “available video memory”. It seems like the Integrated Graphics (Iris Plus for my Surface Pro 7) is not utilizing the available video memory and locking itself down to a lesser amount, which causes the Zoom app the struggle when the participant count goes over about 20.
I cannot find any way in System settings of UEFI to adjust the integrated graphics settings. And advise here would be welcome.
