Surface Pro 7 randomly freezes while using the Zoom app

Brand new surface pro for about 2 weeks and I've experienced some random freezes while using the Zoom teaching app. For some reason, each time this happens the audio continues to work but nothing on the surface screen or keyboard is responsive and I'm forced to shutdown and restart each time. Support recommended that I run a recovery tool but that didn't do anything to fix my problem. Does this sound like more of a Zoom problem or a surface problem?

Anyone else have a similar issue and fixed it?

    Please also try to disable "Enable HD" in Video settings and also change "Video Rendering Method" to Direct3D11 in "Video-->Advanced" in addition to disabling hardware acceleration.  Note that you need to restart Zoom after making these changes (kill it in the Task Manager or logout and then log back in).

    I had two long Zoom meetings on my Surface Pro 7 without issues today. My CPU is Intel i5-1035G4@1.1GHz.

    Oh shoot I missed this message. I just tried troubleshooting. Best Buy was telling me it had to be an issue with the schools wifi. Which we do have issues there. So I had students volunteer to zoom with me after school with me today on my wifi at home. Seemed to be ok until about 30 min in. Prior to this is gradually started getting hotter and slowing down and then boom! It froze. Everything nonresponsive again but my students could still hear me and I could hear them. But the only way to do anything again was to hit the power button. So that takes away the variable of it being the schools wifi. It HAS to be an issue with the device! So is it a windows 10 issue or a microsoft surface pro 7 issue? Im not too great understanding all this but what I’m asking is if going to a dell touchscreen where I’ll put windows 10 on work better?

    microsoft please look into this problem

    how can new products like surface pro 7 will have a limitations like Zoom or Meet and Teams.....

    Now try unticking hardware acceleration in Zoom on your Surface Pro. Am interested if you have any more luck than I did..
