    Hi Rolando.

    The problem is fixed.

But it is a strange one!

I have bought a new Surface Go. The SD card works perfectly in the old machine but is not reimbursed in the new one.

A friend lent me his SD card and my computer recognised it. So the problem was the SD card. I have an SD card that only works on one machine! I can't work out why.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello Teddy,

Thank you so much for posting in Microsoft Community.

I appreciate you raising this concern to us, and I understand that you're having issues with your SD card on your Surface Go 4. You got me here: we'll isolate this issue together.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Make sure the SD card is properly inserted into the SD card slot. Sometimes, the card may not be fully inserted, which can cause it to not be recognized.
    2. Restart your Surface Go 4. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix the issue. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and release once Windows Logo appears on screen.
    3. Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit.
    4. Check if the SD card is recognized in Device Manager. Go to Device manager > expand Disk drives. See if the SD Card is there.
    5. If any case it is there, try reinstalling it by right clicking the SD card Driver and selecting Uninstall. Restart device afterwards.
    6. Try downloading latest driver and firmware for your Surface: Download Surface Go 4 Drivers and Firmware. from Official Microsoft Download Center
    7. Try using a different SD card to see if the issue is with the card itself.

If none of the above steps work, try resetting your Surface Go 4 to its default settings. This will erase all data on your device, so make sure to back up any important files before doing this. See this link: Restore or reset Surface for Windows - Microsoft Support

Please let me know how it goes and hope it helps!

    Best regards,

    Rolando S.
