I think that you are not understanding what I posted. It does not matter what you do, the RT class tablets absolutely cannot run regular Windows programs. Absolutely cannot!
Computer processors rely on programs written in their language. Intel based processors to include AMD processors use an instruction set designed for the old original 80186 which never really made it on the market but was used as the base point for processors
for PCs. In 1987, in England, some guys came up with an idea for a processor that can do the same job using fewer instructions. It was called a RISC processor. The language for the RISC processor is completely different than that of the Intel based processors.
The RISC processor never really hit it big but stuck around.
The RISC processors found new life when cellular phones and Android tablets came about. They are low power consuming and require fewer resources compared to Intel based processors.
Now comes Microsoft. They came up with an idea to produce a tablet of their own. They wanted to try something completely different. They took the source code of Windows 8 which consists of over 2 million lines of code and converted that code so that a
RISC processor could compile and execute it. That would mean that, that version of Windows will be in a world of its own and cannot run the programs that the Intel based version does. A "canned ham" as I call it.
When Microsoft introduced the RT tablets, they specifically stated that it can only run programs available through the Store. It is also on their web site. So, for software for the RT class tablets, they are limited to applications created by Microsoft
and others in a single, online repository (Store).
Since the RT class tablets cannot run regular Windows software, what to do about an office suite? Microsoft then took the source code for Microsoft Office and converted it to RISC based code, compiled it, and gave it away for free and pre-installed on the
RT class tablets to give you something to use.
The RT tablets are on an island all to themselves and cannot run anything other than Store apps.
