Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 Constantly Disconnects from WiFi (Other Devices are Fine)

Anyone else have this issue? It is so frustrating and I know the wifi is fine because my phone and my old macbook have never had issues with the Wifi but this happens to my Surface almost everyday. Thanks in advance.

The latest drivers resolve issues with Wi-Fi connection throughput and improves stability. For more info, please view the Surface Laptop 3 update history. To download and install the latest drivers go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.

    Hi mate,

    I had the same issue and it has been a headache for a couple of weeks. I have tried everything I can and called the Microsoft customer service so many times. Obviously, they would ask you to follow their instructions over the phone such as "restart", "reset the wifi modem", "upgrade current system" or even "reset the pc". None worked. Until I change the 5g wifi channel to "149", the issue never came back again. I may solve the issue though I am not sure when it will come back again. I think it is a hardware issue that Microsoft has not solved yet. It is a shame for such an expensive laptop. Hope my solution will help.

    Hello,

    I tried all of the suggested solutions on here as well as on other help sites but nothing worked on my laptop. I did figure out a solution, but it costs about $15 from Amazon. What is causing this issue is the laptop's wifi adapter. If you use a USB wifi adapter and connect to your internet through that, it will stop disconnecting all the time. It sucks that I had to spend money to fix this, but trust me, it is such a relief to work uninterrupted. Here is the adapter I purchased:

    Hi Ron,

    Thank you for your help. I did install the wifi driver and wifi stayed up longer than it had all day, then went down again and after a reboot, seemed to be staying down. This is a ridiculous situation and Microsoft needs to try harder.
