Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 Constantly Disconnects from WiFi (Other Devices are Fine)

Anyone else have this issue? It is so frustrating and I know the wifi is fine because my phone and my old macbook have never had issues with the Wifi but this happens to my Surface almost everyday. Thanks in advance.

The latest drivers resolve issues with Wi-Fi connection throughput and improves stability. For more info, please view the Surface Laptop 3 update history. To download and install the latest drivers go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.

    I tried the Intel driver update as well but all my software was up to date. It wasnt a software issue which is why it seemes to be a hardware issue. Seems to be an issue with Surface 3s.

    I just sent mine back to Microsoft. They sent me a replacement within 5 days. It seemed to be a wifi hardware issue. Don’t wait for your 12 month warranty to run out. The only other solution I think might be an external wifi adapter.

    Hello Marrion_Y,

    How could you mark this issue as resolved when it is not? Clearly you either did not read the many persons, including myself, raising a similar issue, or you read the comments but still decided to mark this item as resolved. Not very professional.

    Could you please reopen this issue and not mark it as resolved until it really is? Or we can also create another duplicate issue on this website to make sure this remains open on your side.

    On a side note, I am highly dissatisfied with the Surface Book 3. I bought the most expensive version, and I am unable to have an online meeting without being disconnected.

    I ended up changing a setting on our router for "Channel Bandwidth". I dropped it from 80MHz to 40MHz and the problem seems to have gone away using the built-in wifi now. I'm not sure why only the Surface Laptop seemed to have a problem with 80MHz.
