Hey guys,
My surface pro 4 has just started doing this a few months back after no problems since purchase 4 years ago. I'm from Australia, so I'm not sure what consumer laws there are for other countries, but I was reading the ACCC Repair, Replace, Refund rules and
an excerpt caught my eye:
"Your rights under the consumer guarantees do not have a specific expiry date and can apply even after any warranties you’ve got from a business have expired."
https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/repair-replace-refund
It seems to me that a reasonable expectation is for the device to last longer than it has, considering the cost, and FitBit has been ordered recently by the ACCC to extend its warranty in Australia for implying that minor or major manufacturing faults were
only covered for one year after purchase.
I'm thinking of submitting a consumer issue report to the ACCC, especially since it is as everyone has said - is a known issue.
I just came to this thread to see wth is going on with my laptop and am appalled that it is such a widespread and unreasonably expensive repair job!
