Surface Headphones 2 -- Randomly Stop working in Teams

Surface Headphones 2 will suddenly stop working with Teams when I switch calls.

They will be fine all morning, and then when I join another call they stop working. It says they are connected on the computer and within the Teams App. I can hear things on other apps such as Outlook notifications, and YouTube - but cannot hear on Teams, and the mic does not work either.

It requires a full restart of the computer. Does anyone know how to fix?

I have an HP EliteBook 840 G7.

    Hello BrittSea,

    Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

    On Windows, if you are in a Microsoft Teams meeting and take Surface Headphones 2 off your head they will automatically be muted. If you then leave the Microsoft Teams meeting and join a second Microsoft Teams meeting, Microsoft Teams will show you as unmuted, but Surface Headphones 2 are still muted. Press the mute button on your Surface headphones and others will be able to hear you speak.

    Hi StevenK,

    I don't believe this is the issue as I cannot hear anyone, either. And, I press the mute button on both the headseat and the teams meeting to make sure I am unmuted.

    If that's the case, please see Fix problems with using your Surface Headphones and give it's methods of troubleshooting a try to isolate the issue. Don't also forget to Update Surface Headphones to keep them with the latest improvements.
