Hi Barb,
Here are my logs:

Here is my winver
I've cleared all as suggested. Also did this through clipboard with dock attached and same error.
Thank you.

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I have Surface book 13.5, and Surface Dock. USB ports on the dock are not working.
Running Surface Dock updater says I need to power cycle the dock, although I already did it several times.
Event viewer reports error code 12105, with message: "Failed to update USB hub firmware."

The clipboard/screen, when detached has a Surface Connect port - plug the cable
that goes from the dock into that.
> How do I "run the dock updater from the clipboard"?
Hi Barb! How do I "run the dock updater from the clipboard"?
also, please run
winver
and reply with OS version and build number
received suggestion that you should try to run the dock updater from the
clipboard only with the base detached.
if that does not work
1. Click Start
2. Type in Surface
3. Open Surface App
4. Choose computer icon
5. Choose copy
6. Paste the info into post but make sure to strip out Name and Serial#
