Surface Pro 7 display brightness does not chage

Hi,

Anyone has the same issue as me?

When I change brightness with keyboard it does change to 30-50% only (no visible change).

When changing in side swipe, with touch it allows me to change 0%-100% (no visible change)

I tried with nigh mode off... no change

Tried windows setting ... no change

Ambient light On/Off... no change

Can anyone help?

Mine was doing the same thing (except that my brightness was stuck at about 90% no matter what I did) and I found an old link just now that fixed mine. It said to take the keyboard cover off and reboot. 

I took the cover off and shut it down. I then attached the keyboard and turned it on. That fixed my issue.

I have done this multiple times and seems like every other day It stops working again. Any way to stop this from happening?

In my case all the prior steps didn't help.

In the end it was a simple setting:

1. Go to Settings
2. Display
3. Turn "Night Light" On

Problem solved.

I am unable to power up my Surface Pro since last week.  I used it only occasionally.

please advise / assist how i could
