Surface Pro 7 display brightness does not chage

This is a reoccurring issue that doesn't seem to have a real fix currently. Unfortunately, restarting it is not a "real" fix, it is a temporary fix. It will fix the issue for a good while until it randomly occurs again. It's extremely annoying when I am in a workflow with many windows open and I suddenly can't dim my blinding screen in the night or brighten in the day. If there was a solution where I could simply re-enable or reinstall a driver without having to restart then at least I would not have to crash my workflow. Unfortunately, not even that will work. For the amount of money I paid for my Surface Pro 7, I should not have to be dealing with this. Thankfully, it doesn't happen too frequently but it's still a reoccurring issue that really impacts my use of the device when it happens. This seems to be a widespread issue that has been going on for over a year so a fix should be put on high priority.

THIS DID NOT WORK EVEN A LITTLE BIT!

Now everything on my screen is tiny and I still can't change my brightness. Unless anyone here has a real solution, this was all a waste of time and I'm just gonna call tech support because I can't live like this.

I am about to try that as well. Do I have to install the Intel(R) Irish(R) Plus Graphics" again afterwards or just leave it?

I managed to fix it by updating my graphics driver using Intel Driver and Support Assistant to the latest Intel one, rather than the one OEM (Microsoft) customised one that is used by default.

This is an interesting method. Let me try it.
