I want to know what is the maximum size of micro SD card that support for surface RT? 64 or 32 GB?

SanDisk announced a 128 GB microSDXC card yesterday. gerbir21 has been said Surface Pro will do run up to 512 GB, any info updates on RT, anyone gonna try?
My SanDisk 128GB microSDXC card just arrived. It works in my Surface RT, Surface 2, and Surface Pro 2.
It comes formatted as exFAT, and gives 119GB of formatted storage space.

Surface currently supports all MicroSD cards available in the market today and new cards will be tested as they become available.
I also have the SanDisk 128GB MicroSDXC and it works with Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2. I did have to insert the card and reboot as it did not auto-detect the card. Once rebooted, the disk was available. If you want to use the SDXC card to store any libraries, you will need to reformat the disk as NTFS instead of exFAT. Windows 8.1 and the SDXC card formatted as NTFS supports libraries such as pictures, videos, and music.
As for the life span, if it is like my 64GB card for the Surface Pro then it lasted for about 15 months before it started corrupting.

I want to get the biggest size card that the Surface will support, so is it the 32, 64, or 128 card?
Your Surface RT supports the highest-capacity microSDXC card available, which is 64GB.
If you need more space than that, you can always plug a higher-capacity flash drive or portable hard drive into the USB port.
I have a 64gb SanDisk class 10 on my 32gb original surface rt, and it works like a charm , theres no micro sd cards bigger than 64gb right now. So just go with the 64gb for now.
Yes it works perfectly. Class ten in fact is the best option.

The reader built into the RT and the Pro models is designed for 64GB capacity maximum. The capacity limit is based on the reader/controller that is in the computer.
There are cards coming out going up to 2 TerraBytes in size but have not seen those for sale yet. The readers in these tablets will not recognize anything larger than 64GB.
The format for all cards should be either NTFS or Fat32. Nothing else or you can destroy the card and it will be useless. I already ruined a USB pendrive by using exFat by accident and ended up having to throw it away.
NOW, since these tablet do have USB ports, when the TerraByte sized cards are available, you should be able to get a card reader and use them. So, you won't be stuck with a 64GB limit with just the built in card reader.
An engineer in Singapore found out that if regular table salt was added to the mix that you could increase the storage capacity by 100 fold. That is where the TerraByte sized drives and cards are coming from. So far, they have been proven to be reliable in the hard disk world and the same should be in the card/pendrives as well.
