You probably kidding about "a bit", right? The volume on the surface is "tiny" at best. My Lumina 820 one speaker three times louder even at 50% that two stereo speakers on the Surface. If people talking in the same room, the is no way to hear this thing.
It's huge problem for me. Surface have great microphones, but with these speakers it hard to use it for Skype, lync and any audio. I use Jambox for all audio, but have to spend hour to fix pairing problems. I really hope that this is software problem. Please
fix it ASAP. Unfortunately for me Surface is undercooked product. I feel like with Apple first iPhone, where I found 50 problems during first hour of use and return it to the store.
QA is MS big problem, I have no idea how you agree to release it, just look at my "short" list:
- Impossible low speakers volume
- Bluetooth management without desktop is non existent and in desktop mode is he'll
- Screen rotation is slow, to the point that I recommend everyone to turn of rotation
- All Apps Sloooooow loading, even apps preloaded from MS.
- Losing connection with keyboard, need reattachment
- Audio is shattering if screen is off (sleep), the recommendation from ms support was to connect to AC and disable power management. The is no solution for that.
- Problem with stock applications when using microsd card storage, photo app can't see photos even with workarounds, re-indexing is needed every time you add pictures. Do not buy 32Gb surface if you plan store photos, music and videos.
- Improve Mail, Skype, Lync and messaging apps, they slow and duplicate notifications are annoying. I can't accept calls is Skype is in background. The is no way to clean Junk folder, select multiple emails, no linked inbox,....
.... I can talk about problems with surface for hours, it's a little bit complicated to type all of it on the screen keyboard, I hope know about them already.
It suppose to be the great entertainment and productivity device.
It's time to fix annoyances and bugs ASAP before Surface Pro is released.
Please fire the whole Windows and Surface QA team, or people that agree to release beta version of the product.
