We are aware that customers using Surface Pro X were having issues using the built-in cameras and we have resolved this issue with a driver update.   Please go to Windows Update to install the new driver named Microsoft Corporation – System Hardware Update – 5/26/2023.

... 3 days now without cameras on laptops designed for office work ... not a good thing, might as well get another brand that works.
very pissed off about absolutely 0 information about the issue and the work being done behind the scenes to renew the certificate for hardware that has expired, (the same issue that was with Viptela SD Wan routers a few weeks ago, they solved it in about 24 hours, ask them for help if you can't solve it in less time than that.)

Where do we send our claims for lost revenues and work due to not being able to join meetings via cam during this time ?!

Hopefully by the end of this weekend, or Monday, 5/29, you can push an update to us. Then, all the business users that utilize the camera for their livelihood won't have to go another work week with a nonfunctional tool that is essential to their jobs.

At the least, if they had to buy an external camera, you should reimburse them for the cost by providing a claim process for cameras purchased between 5/22/23 through the date of your update.
