cameras are not working on my Surface PRO X device. [Answered]

Error code 0xA00F4271<MediaCaptureFailedEvent> (0x80004005).

I've run trough the Get Help App on my device but after following all the steps camera is still not running.

Any help?

We are aware that customers using Surface Pro X were having issues using the built-in cameras and we have resolved this issue with a driver update.   Please go to Windows Update to install the new driver named Microsoft Corporation – System Hardware Update – 5/26/2023.

    Considering the Surface has brought in $6.7B in revenue to MS (as of last November), I'm surprised it took them an entire work week to push the update to us. But, I appreciate their efforts, and am happy mine is working pr0perly now.

    Since this is their flagship business product, I'm hoping they will consider having a "post-mortem" discussion and decide to strengthen their response process. This was not a serious breakdown, but a recertification that slipped through. Thank you, and learn from this episode.

    Problem Now Fixed.

    Took Microsoft Long Enough.

    Hopefully they will be on the Ball and have things like this and More Scheduled a few Months in Advance to get everything fixed and then pushed out through Updates before another issue like this happens again.

    I left Apple because the Surface Pro X was so impressive. . . Until it wasn’t. This camera issue is a killer. I do Zoom Meditations and contract negotiations. NOT with this camera issue. I got a ton of **** going to MS. Turns it wasn’t ****. The detractors nailed it. MS HAS 48 hours to fix this or I’ll have to go back to APPLE just to keep my business going.
