Disable spoken "Connected to..." message

Every time I turn on the headphones, it gives a spoken message "Connected to...". Since I connected it to 2 devices, it names both. In the mean time no other sounds come through. Eg, when I am in the middle of a meeting and I decide to turn my headphones on, I have to wait before I hear the meeting until the message is over, but in the mean time it is already gone from my speakers. Above that, my laptop has a annoying large numbered name and it is pronounced completely: R T M dash nine million two hundred seventy three thousand one hundred twenty five.

Is it possible to turn off the message? In the apps both on Windows and Android I was not able to find such a setting.

I think this can be turned off in the Surface Audio app under device controls -> Voice prompts. I did it and don't hear it anymore

Side effect though, is that it also stops telling you how many hours usage are left.

yeah, that's true. However I couldn't stand the other announcements just like you, so this is the price to pay :)

I wish there was an option to make the voice announcements shorter and that they don't block current sound but instead overlap and just lower the volume for the announcement time.

If you install the app, do you get notifications related to the headphones? e.g: battery level, connected devices, etc.
