Your surface headphones may go into pairing mode if you turned off your Bluetooth. Luckily the surface audio mobile app will walk you through the process to get connected again. Make sure you turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile device first.
Surface Headphones 2 randomly disconnect and go into pairing mode
My Surface Headphones 2 have recently begun randomly disconnecting from my phone and saying "Your Surface Headphones are ready to pair. Go into Bluetooth settings....". The message is very long (15-30 seconds) and prevents audio from playing, not to mention the disconnecting from my phone. This is a huge problem in the middle of a meeting.
I am not the only one to experience this issue (see this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/n4mc6a/surface_headphones_2_go_into_pairing_mode_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 ) Is there any word from Microsoft on this issue?

Well that step was useless. That app only works on Surface devices. I have Surface headphones, but the computer has to be a Surface as well for this app to do anything.
