Unable to configure my Exchange email in Surface mail program

First off, it's too bad Microsoft couldn't include Outlook with the other Office products.  In any case, I have had no problem configuring my exchange email address on my iPhone, iPad, PC laptop.  I've tried all sorts of combinations for server and domain, including the one I use for my iPhone, but not success!  Very frustrating.

Suppose my domain name was mydomain. On my iPhone I leave "domain" blank. I put in for server: webmail.mydomain.com.

I've tried that, I've tried addition both mydomain and mydomain.com to domain.  I've tried adding https:// to URL and also adding /owa at end (which I need for web log on).

On top of that after trying several combos Mail program presents me with blank screen, and I have to reset to get the screen back.

Not a happy camper!

    I with you on this issue... I just purchased my Pro 4 last night (1600.00) and have been on it "ALL DAY" fixing problems... Just about every problem others had listed I had. I found a site that suggested down loading all windows up-dates... which I did (took two hours), and to my surprise it seemed to fix all the freezing and screen flickering etc, issues I was having.

           One of the main reasons I purchased the pro 4 was to use it instead of careering my heavy company supplied lap top while traveling... which is a lot.  So now, I cant get my Pro 4 to work with my company server.... I worked on it for almost 4 hours today trying ever arrangement there was. So... I really need this to work with my Co. server for me to justify the expenses? So as of now, I'm packing it up tonight and taking it back.. going to purchase the Apple Mac Book... I know that will work.

    Has anyone confirmed this Surface RT tablet working with Exchange Server 2003?

    I can confirm the Surface RT works with Exchange 2003. I configured it last week to connect to an SBS 2003 server with a self signed certificate.

    If you use a self signed certificate you will need to import it into the Trusted Root Certification Authority on the Surface RT.

    I had problems in setup never mind connecting....

     

    I used the other mail, selected IMAP, had to uncheck SSL, then specified the email servers, ports 143 and 25 .... bingo... perfect

    I did this.. I unchecked Authentication on Outgoing Mail and it worked. S

    This was a deal-breaker for me. Currently it works but on the recipients end the email is shown as my email address and not my name as is typically done in Outlook.

    I can live with that for now.
