I cannot receive MMS Messages on my Surface Duo

Hi Everyone,

I am continuing to have problems receiving MMS messages (group texts and pictures sent to me as part of a group text) on my Microsoft Surface Duo. I have one of the unlocked models that I use on Verizon.  I've researched the issue, and it appears that the issue is (1) I needed to activate "CDMA-Less" on my phone and (2) I needed to modify my Access Point Network (APN).  After several calls to Verizon, I was finally able to enable "CDMA-less" on my phone, but they could not help with my APN modifications. I am unable to modify my APN settings on my Surface Duo--those options are "grayed out."

Verizon directed me to Microsoft to help me with this issue. I called the 1-888 customer service number, but when I chose the option for tech support, they told me at had "moved online." After many many many attempts, I have not been able utilize the chat component of customer service. It keeps telling me that "sorry there this a technical error." Consequently, I cannot get customer service support for my issue.

That's why I am turning to the community forum again to see if I could please get some assistance with my issue that I have been struggling with for going on two months now.  I am unsure of what to do next.

Thanks for your help,

R

    Hello,

Are you not getting any MMS or only when MMS is sent in a group thread? Also are you able to send them? If you are able to send them are you able to verify on your Verizon account that you CDMA-less has been enabled. Additionally please open you message app, go to settings and ensure you have Chat Features connected and enabled.

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for your input. Yes, I did enable CDMA-less. I also make sure that chat (SMS and MMS) were enabled. None of that worked :(.

Appreciate any other feedback you can give me,

    R

Is this happening from a single recipient or when you receive group texts?
