Surface touch screen works with pen, but not my finger

Thank you for reaching out to us on the community forum and thank you for your question. I understand you are having finger input issues on your Pro 3 device. I'm here to help. 

I'd like to know more details: 

• You said the Pro pen works fine but it doesn't respond to your fingers, correct? Are you using the finger and the pen at the same time?

When you bring Surface Pen close to the touchscreen, a point appears on the screen and the screen ignores other input such as your hand resting on the screen. You can relax and write or draw as you would with a regular pen and paper. 

• Do you have all updates? Just to be sure, you can see the detailed update information for Pro3 here.****

If you still have issues with touch, I'd suggest the following: 

• Before you begin
• Solution 1: Clean the screen
• Solution 2: Reset touchscreen calibration
• Solution 3: Install the latest updates
• Solution 4: Two button shutdown (Surface Pro only)
• Solution 5: Restore, refresh, or reset Surface
