Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Net – 15.68.17013.110 WiFi driver breaks 5GHz connection on the Surface Book (1st Gen i5 with dGPU 256 GB)

The title says it all, I updated the wifi driver to "Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Net – 15.68.17013.110", and after that update, I can't connect to a 5GHz wifi connection, I can only connect to 2.4 GHz. when i try to connect to the 5GHz, it says: "Unable to connect to this network". Uninstalling the wifi driver, and restarting the device did help me get the 5GHz connection back to my Surface book, but when i decided to try to install the same driver again, and try to connect to 5GHz again, the same "Unable to connect to this network" appears. Does anyone have this issue?

Thank you for reporting the issue. A fix is now available through Windows Update.

I have the same issue. I can connect to 2.4 but not 5 since the update. I cannot roll back the Marvell driver as the roll back option is greyed out in Device Driver. Any ideas as to how I can roll back to the old driver without this option?

Help would be greatly appreciated as I'm currently churning through mobile data!

PS: 200+ Surfaces to patch! None of them in my company are working with the internal wi-fi (currently with extra bought wlan usb sticks!).

To uninstall and prevent the update from re-installing, do this:

    1. Download the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter
    2. Uninstall the driver from device manager (make sure you check the delete driver box)
    3. Reboot
    4. Verify the driver version is the old one (15.68.9112.23)
    5. Re-connect to wifi (Note:do not run “Windows update”)
    6. Run the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter that was downloaded in step 1
    7. Check the box next to “Marvell….” Then click next.

In my case, we did not have to do this to every computer because we disabled "Fast Roaming" in the APs for each SSID as a temporary measure until a working driver is released.
