Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Net – 15.68.17013.110 WiFi driver breaks 5GHz connection on the Surface Book (1st Gen i5 with dGPU 256 GB)

The title says it all, I updated the wifi driver to "Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Net – 15.68.17013.110", and after that update, I can't connect to a 5GHz wifi connection, I can only connect to 2.4 GHz. when i try to connect to the 5GHz, it says: "Unable to connect to this network". Uninstalling the wifi driver, and restarting the device did help me get the 5GHz connection back to my Surface book, but when i decided to try to install the same driver again, and try to connect to 5GHz again, the same "Unable to connect to this network" appears. Does anyone have this issue?

Hmm .. A quote from a Microsoft Support Forum Volunteer Moderator . Someone get 15 minutes of fame ! I wonder if it is an actual quote, or just filched from a relevant post ? Regardless hopefully this level of exposure might garner enough concern in management circles  to invest in better Q&A before future updates.

I agree. I'm an unpaid volunteer. I keep asking for them to post information.

guessing that was *me*. I keep asking an internal contact to have someone post

something officially, but do not get replies.. but he did email me that they

were aware and working on a fix. it is extremely frustrating, to say the least.

    Hi Barb! 1903 1862.295

Finally,  I was able to get back to previous driver by getting them form http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com. I downloaded CAB file with previous version of drivers, installed them and 5ghz is working normally for me.
