Text Box Problems On Facebook

* NOTE: all issues are when using Microsoft Edge Browser... BUT, my first "Surface RT" had the same exact problem, and it only had the "Internet Explorer" browser...

When I'm typing in a text box, in Facebook (might also happen other places) if I select any of the "type ahead" options that are available, it places the WHOLE word selected... AT THE END of the letters I've already typed, so that the word is now NOT just the "type ahead" selection...

EX: I type in "mot", and the "type ahead" offers up "motor" as well as others... When I touch the "motor", it's immediately ADDED to the end of "mot", so now I have "motmotor"... This happens EVERY TIME I type in a text box, and touch the "type ahead" of my choice...

Another problem that happens EVERY time, is that I have to tap TWICE in any text box to get the cursor to appear, and to get the keyboard to pop up...

AHHHH!!!!  I'm so stupid.  I just went back and tried it again with Edge.  I'm such a glutton for punishment.  I wish for two things.

    1.  I wish I didn't love Edge

    2.  I with I didn't love Facebook.

I really wonder how many people suffer typing problems and they think it's their type keyboard when it's really MS Edge and Facebook.  It defies logic how this can happen.

For now, I'm back on Internet Explorer.  I'll wait for the next version of edge to see what happens.

    • Turned off AutoCorrect and no change
    • Facebook is the only site that appears to have this issue.  Of course, it's really the only site that you fill in the blanks.  I take that back. This site works fine
    • No difference in Table mode or desktop mode.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us. To further assist you, we will be needing additional information:

    • Have you tried disabling the autocorrect from the device settings?

    • Is Facebook the only site that have this issue when browsing using Microsoft Edge?

    • Was there any difference when on tablet mode or keyboard/desktop mode?

    Keep us posted.

Yep, that's exactly what it was.  Darn edge.  Back to explorer again.
